HCS SCS SB 24 -- FRANKLIN COUNTY LAW LIBRARY FUND

SPONSOR:  Griesheimer (Schlottach)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Judiciary by a vote of 9 to 0.

Currently, an additional $10 fee is imposed on most court cases
in Franklin County for their law library fund.  This substitute
sets an expiration date of December 31, 2014, on the collection
of the additional fee.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2006, FY 2007, and
FY 2008.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill adds an expiration date
to an existing court cost in Franklin County.

Testifying for the bill were Senator Griesheimer; and Supreme
Court of Missouri.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
